Discussion: What do you like about Age TFs?

Regrettably, I won't be able to post caption for about a week or two (on the other hand, it could be a lot sooner than that).

That's why I wanted to post my last multichoice story before this, because I think that one is worth for a few day's delay (20 captions in just one post!)

On the other hand, as I might still be able to check and answer, I wanted to use this time in a productive way. So I'm opening this discussion page, to talk with the readers and learn about your tastes in this genre. Hopefully, that could help me improve the kind of thing I do here.

I think the obvious topic to start would be to know what do you find appealing about Age Transformations.

Please comment without reservation, and elaborate as much as you want. This is a great opportunity to make this a less one-sided thing.

  1. I like it when Older to Middle Aged women become sexy young adult women. I know that's not really what you do on this blog, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

    1. Same here.
Also, I like Beauty Increase in the process, such as weight loss, height increase and breast expansion.

  2. I'm a fan of age regression in every possible form its used. There are so many elements to explore with regressed characters in how they think and act after their transformation when compared to their old lives.

How does a schoolteacher deal with suddenly being turned back into a schoolgirl and being sent to the same very school she used taught at? How do her relationships with her old friends and colleagues change? Not to mention her new classmates. There's a whole story to write based off those power dynamics alone.

I think the phrase "The mind Is a plaything of the body" is innately apart of all types transformation stories and I just love it when stories have characters that struggle to maintain their mental age and wisdom against their new biological age.

  3. What I mostly like about Age TFs is obviously the process and how the characters go through it (their reaction) I specially like stories where there are several characters and each one reacts differently (one girl doesnt want at all to grow up, the other one is confused but ends up adapting, the other one feels pain, the other one enjoys it with a lot of pleasure etc...)

And it is much more interesting if they transform into another diferent person but without their clothes shifting. Another thing that I may like to see in some story is a detailed return to normal transformation in an inappropiate situation, with the girl seeing her dreams vanishing while she tries to hide

  4. I love seeing some AP when a girl grows up and goes through puberty. Similar to your babysitter one at least. Your blog is the only one I've found that consistently posts AP/AR so keep up the good work!

  5. I like when aging women become young adults, especially with a healthy dose of Increased Beauty and breast firming. Especially when they desire the change and consciously seek it out, no matter what the price. Admiring their new bodies, comparing themselves to other women they've surpassed in desirability, revelling in other people's reactions, and (if applicable) becoming desperate if it wears off.

  6. How about you do one of a boy who goes white his parents to his parents friends house. They have a daughter and the son and daughter don't like each other very much. However they all then switch ages. as the kids become teenagers they become attracted to each other and then they become adults. their parents become there children.

    1. Make it into at least several parts

    2. There's a story already on here called Marital Life that fits that description. Though I wouldn't mind seeing another version of that story that focused on the adults turned kids.

    3. Indeed, Marital Life is pretty much that one. I would do a second part, but I wouldn't be able to find the pictures to do it.

    4. Make another one then

  7. My favorite subject matters explored in this genre are role reversals between young people, normally siblings, teenage rivals, babysitters and charges, cousins, you catch my drift. The power reversal is often so satisfying if done well and the physical changes when described are often interesting as well. I prefer AR in General to AP, but role reversal stories almost always have some sort of AP involved, so I've grown to like it.

My all time favorite scenario is a younger sister swapping ages with an older brother. The power struggle of having the puberty of a toned guy taken away while simulainiously forcing that guy to watch his little sister become the epitome of womanhood is spectacular. One scenario I'd like to see more of is the reverse, an older sister swapping ages with her little brother. It's very rare in this literature (I suspect for audience tastes), but I feel like this power struggle would be a fun one to explore. The sister-sister scenario is also fun, but has been done so many times by so many people it's grown a bit stale.

As far as this blog is concerned, I am generally pleased with its content. You cover a lot of the things I enjoy in the genre. If I could change anything however, I would perhaps reduce that parts of your longer adaptations, or at least put multiple captions in each post. It grows very boring if a month is spent on a 30 part story when you are not especially interested in the plot. I'd love to see the Reversion hammered out in its entirety, but I understand the time it takes for a project of that magnitude, I eagerly await Part V, which you have told me relates to the sibling role reversal I love.

But all in all, great blog with great content. You're a talented writer and I look forward to each new post, even if I'm not fully engaged with the current story you're persuing.

    1. I agree with you that I really enjoy AP when its done in a role reversal story. I would love to see a story based around your favorite scenario that follows a regressed guy's adjustment to his second childhood and his new relationship with his family and his APed sister.

    2. What you say about the multiple parts over a long period of time is completely true. It's simply because of my lack of proper time to give to the blog.

  8. I am a big fan of increased beauty, in any detail and form, from simple weight loss or hairstyle change to a complete transformation. Another thing I like a lot is attribute theft, not just age swap, but more like physical and mental traits.

Nevertheless, great job so far! Hope you continue like this!!

  9. My turn, then.

I think it's pretty obvious that I mostly enjoy APs from children to young adults.

Unlike some people, my interest in these isn't a fetish at all (you've surely noticed I mostly keep sexual scenarios out of the picture). What I really like is the empowering side of those stories, something I've been interested in since my own experiences growing up.

Being a child is the very epitome of being helpless, and suddendly becoming an adult in the peak of life (and much stronger, capable and independent) brings the kind of empowerment I'm talking about.

Thus, some kinds of AR, and almost every form of Increased Beauty, also bring the embetterment of the characters, giving them virtual powers that I find very interesting.

  10. I personally like the process of clothes bursting or the aftermath of clothes bursting, or stories about a girl who is capable of making that happen thanks to an inborn age changing ability.

Hmmm. I think there are a lot of things that I like about AP/AR stories.

Thematically : I like the way they can shake up the power balance. Childrenthe elderly and unatractive tend to be very unjustly disadvantaged without a lot of ways to fight back so AP/AR offers a way to flip or negate the power imbalance.

It's interesting to posit how a child's experiences equipped with a superior mind and body will react to a world that they now have the facility to do more than observe with imperfect understanding and confusion.

It is likewise interesting to imagine how a person near the end of their life or a person regarded as ugly may make use of their restored youth or granted beauty. The geek in me especially loves this when coupled with a well researched fish out of water narrative.

This is personally why I like temporary more than permanent transformations. In a story so focused on transformation the looming threat of reversting is a narratively efficient way create tension.

Viscerially : The transformation itself is exciting. Not nearly enough people show off their creativity when it comes to transformations but they're really the payoff to a TF story and sadly one that can't really be captured through photocaptions.

How the character feels. How they react. And graphic depictions of their bodies and minds changing are the real thrill to the narrative.

Symbolically : Symbolically it's hard not to call it erotica. I mean no disrespect but that's what it is. AP/AR generally has an implied sexual aspect.

In this regard the character's transformed bodies are totems not only of their new place in the pecking order but of their awakened or renewed sexuality.

The endurance of their new forms can be a symbol of power fantasy wish fulfillment or optimistic rebirth. Their ultimate loss or reversion to norm can also be symbols of a return to innocence/ignorance or an advance towards death.

Which are all pretty intense themes that offer lots of pseudophilisophical tension for the average internet navel gazer. :P

    1. You make very, very interesting points.

I understand your point about it being erotica, even if I suppose it depends on the reader. Myself, I don't think about this as a fetish, just like a self-fulfilling fantasy about empowerment. I've noticed most AP/AR fans DO feel about it like a fetish.

I consider myself an asexual person, and I've noticed I was one ever since I was a very young girl, and yet about the same time I found I enjoyed making up age-changing scenarios. What I enjoy is pretty much what you mention: the increase of power position from a person who is very much powerless. I find it, as I've said, a very empowering fantasy.

Now, I'll be clear, there are certain erotica element even in my own stories (not as pronounced as the sexually charged stories of most authors). The reason is because it's because I use sexual aspects to reaffirm the empowering elements (even I as an asexual, find that sexuality CAN be empowering. Or at least recognizing how you can feel appealing to the world, even if you never engage in sexual activities). So that's that. I don't think I would find an AP/AR story much interesting if the subjects doesn't become attractive, since that's part of the allure. But maybe you've noticed they rarely use their new looks to bed someone else. Most of my girls remain virgins in these stories, because they enjoy what happened to them without needing to actually have sex. I'm sorry for reader who look for that, but that's what happens when an asexual writes erotica.

Anyway, the discovering of new things (which I love in my stories) is why my characters often enjoy a long, somewhat graphic transformation process. I feel like I haven't managed to meet with your expectations there, but I do what I can, and I try to bring something new each time I write them (not that there's enough NEW things that can happen in a transformation. They all tend to feel repetitive, and yet I keep enjoying them).

I like that you can think of such themes when you read what you consider erotica. I call it fantasy, and in no moment I've pretended this is high literature, just wish-fulfillment. But there's indeed many intense things that I think about when I write these scenarios.

      Thanks for discussing!
