Hey, everyone!
You might have noticed I haven't been posting as regularly as I was doing lately (about once weekly).
Don't worry, I'm not going through yet another dry spell, as so many times before. The reason I've been a bit absent is because I'm working on my next long form project. And by long, I mean it's not even finished and it's already longer than both An Offer and The Graduation.
Despite having written so much already, I can't share any yet, because I'm not sure I want to serialize this one. BUT, I can give you a short taste of what it's going to be about by talking you about its inspiration.
Maybe some of you read an announcement a few years back about an studio film coming out titled Premature Maturation. It was pitched as The Hangover meets Big, where "group of middle school kids who transform into adults and crazy shenanigans ensue".
For us, that sound like a very exciting prospect, but years have passed and I haven't heard a thing about the film, so it looks like it'll never get made.
I decided to turn my disappointment into action, and write my own Premature Maturation story, imagining what it could have been. I'm having much fun writing it, and despite being based on something else, I think it's one of my most original stories.
So it might take me a while, but you know I'm still working for you. Also, don't forget that:
-Special Vitamins is in progress, but I got so hyped with this that I put it on hold for a while.
-New Year's Expectations is pretty much over. Just expecting for an update from one of the authors.
That's all for now! I hope this project thrills you.
Woo-hoo
ReplyDeleteAw, man, Premature Maturation sounded like a fun movie!
ReplyDeleteAnd yet that no-process TV movie "Life in a Day" got made...
Looking forward to your eventual take on it.
Yes, sounded fun. Though knowing how things work, I fear maybe all characters would be male, which definitely would take a lot of the fun away.
DeleteAnyway, hope you enjoy my version.
