Halloween Party (Finale)

I've always received a lot of comments about this series, probably more than any other. I've been asked once and again if I would ever do another part, or if I would finish it before leaving the blog for good.

I decided to reward that by actually ending a story that I never intended to finish in the first place. But now that I've done, it's OVER. There's no future Halloween Party captions coming out. This is it, really.

Sorry!

I'm really, very sorry about my recent absence.

I've been quite busy, but I intend to come back soon with the finale for Premature Maturarion. I'm also working on an exciting collaboration.

For now, I'm leaving you a small old-fashioned caption:

Halloween Party (Part 15)

BLZBub made us a new part for the fan favorite Halloween Party series. It's quite probable that this will function as the series finale, and it's indeed what I intended to do if I ever wanted to close the series.

READER'S ENTRY: Release of Stress (Part 4)

Release of Stress (Part 4)
by BLZBub

By the next day, neither Robyn or Lily felt much of a connection to their original selves. They were almost as much women inside as outside. The wizard ought to be able to restore them to normal, but there were almost afraid there wouldn’t be enough left to change by the time they got there. However, they were not so dismal about it, having changed to the point of enjoying their new selves.

Since this was their last day as women, the sisters decided to have a little bit of fun before going to the magic store. Not surprisingly, part of that was doing a little clothes shopping. Well, there wasn’t really much buying involved since they wouldn’t be keeping these clothes. Besides, Evan’s cards wouldn’t be able to cover a whole lot with his limited salary.

Even so, Robyn was having way too much fun with dressing up. For instance, this swimsuit she was wearing right now looked so sexy on her. No guy would be able to resist her charms in this. Robyn wasn’t even concerned that she was interested in men. Robby was basically a distant memory for her. Well, she could recall what it was like to be Robby easily enough, but changing back to Robby would feel utterly alien for her at this point. She supposed she could adjust in time, but she had a feeling Robyn would leave more than a few lasting impressions on Robby.

Eventually, the two sisters headed over to the magic store, this time both the wizard and his apprentice were behind the counter. “Well, I can see that things have snowballed even more than I could have guessed,” said the wizard. His apprentice looked rather chagrined. “Now then, I suppose at least Evan wants to be turned back to normal,” said the wizard. Robyn opened her mouth and the wizard said, “No need to say anything. Children who’ve had time to mentally adapt to these situations rarely want to change back. But the real question is what does Lily think about changing back?”

Lily thought it over for a minute before saying, “To be honest, I’ve felt more comfortable in this body then I think I did as Evan. I felt like I was finally able to relax and not worry so much, especially since I have a sister who’s close enough to me in age. But my biggest problem is that we weren’t born this way and the rest of the world knows it. It’s not like we change it so that we’ve always been sisters of this age.”

“What if I told you there was?” asked the wizard. The sister gave him a surprised look. “Don’t be that surprised, I do own a magic store. You think you’re the only ones who have been altered by my merchandise and want to stay that way? Come to think of it, I could probably count the ones who want to change back and successfully did on one hand. Anyways, reality is much more fluid than you would think it is. One spell and everyone else would think that Lily and Robyn have always been as they are, no complications at all. That’ll of course come with you getting new memories involving your new lives. Are you two interested?”

Not surprisingly, Lily and Robyn leapt at the opportunity and there were already several benefits. Without a younger sibling to take care of most of the time, Lily was able to expand the scope of her job search and found a more profitable position in another city where she had a better apartment that she shared with her sister. Robyn, now that was a legal adult, was able to pay for her part of the rent pretty with her job as an interior designer. Neither of them were fabulously wealthy, but they had plenty enough extra cash to be able to live comfortably and enjoy some luxuries.

One such luxury was being able to go back to the clothing stores and buy the clothes they had tried on earlier. Most of them had already been purchased with the reality change, but the sisters were able to get some more. Lily, in particular, was reveling in being able to embrace her femininity. She had hesitated to do so before because she had thought she wouldn’t be able to continue her life as a woman. But with this reality change, she felt she could really be the woman that she was now. This colorful blouse for instance was one of several picks she was able to make without reservations.

Of course, the sisterly fun had only just begun. Lily and Robyn had quite a few things they wanted to do today, one of which being a pool party being held by a new friend of theirs.

Robyn was having a blast at the pool party. The swimsuit she had bought earlier was perfect for this occasion. There were plenty of guys were getting an eyeful, though were enough hot girls so that she wasn’t the absolute center of attention. Robyn wasn’t sure if she could stand that much attention right now. She was certainly well-adjusted to be a woman, but she felt she didn’t have enough experience, even with a new life of memories. But she’ll get on the dating scene soon enough, first she’s going to have some fun.

Unlike Robyn, Lily wasn’t jumping into the pool so quickly. While she was accepting her female identity, she was a bit shy of showing off her body right now. She might get in the pool later, but right now, she was just content to talk with other people in the house. She was finding it easy to join conversations with people, some more familiar than others. There were a couple of girls who Evan had known in college but was now a lot close to them. And there were plenty of guys, some that Evan had known beforehand. Looking at them as Lily, she admitted that some were cute and there were some with compatible personalities. But she wasn’t in any real rush. She didn’t have any major worries right now and not a bit of stress in her.

READER'S ENTRY: Release of Stress (Part 3)

Release of Stress (Part 3)
by BLZBub

The next morning, Lily and Robyn woke up and they could already feel that they’ve become more like their new personas. Lily was far more interested in playing and didn’t quite care as much about the things she had to do, so Robyn had to call Evan’s workplace and tell them that Evan was sick. Robyn, on the other hand, was maturing in tastes and interests. Playing childish games seem less interesting to her and she’d rather be engaging in more adult activities. However, both of them realized they had better fix their situation before they lose all interest of returning to normal.

Fortunately for the pair, Robyn really had acquired the ability to drive. It came quite naturally to her and it just took a bit of prompting from Lily to get them to the mall. Robyn in particular had fun with driving, feeling so confident and able to go wherever she wanted. It was almost enough to make her not want to go back to being Robby again, but she had to change back for Lily’s sake. Maybe she’ll be able to talk the wizard for her own medallion.

The store was still there when the duo arrived, but the person behind the counter was not the wizard, but an attractive young woman. “Did you change yourself too?” asked Lily.

“Me? No, I’m the owner’s apprentice. And I’m guessing since you asked that question, you’ve been changed by something in here,” said the woman.

“Yes, this medallion, but it’s broken,” said Lily, holding up the medallion.

The apprentice took and looked it over. “I see. It looks like you’ve worn it past its limits. This has gotten quite a bit of use,” she said.

“Well, I use it and it made me into the older sister,” admitted Robyn, “I don’t suppose you know how to fix it.”

“No, I’m not quite at that level yet. I can enchant items, but fixing already enchanted ones is a bit beyond me. But we don’t need any more medallions. I can fix this on my own,” said the apprentice.

“Great, I need to be grown up again,” said Lily.

“This will only take a moment,” said the apprentice before muttering something under her breath and pointing a finger at Lily. Lily jumped as she felt like she had been giving a static shock. The tingle in her body soon intensified as she felt herself growing bigger. But the immense relief she felt soon faded when she noticed that she was still a girl. She thought she ought to be male again before this point, but instead of getting her old bulge back, a pair of new bulges appeared on her chest. Those bulges quickly became more prominent as her shirt altered to show the growing cleavage between them. The rest of her body was changing to match this new appearance as well as her clothes.

By the time Lily was finished, she was back to her old age, but she was the wrong gender. She had matured into a young woman who looked strongly like Robyn’s sister, her older sister now. She was very attractive now and her mind had expanded back to his former maturity, but the personality was more female than male.

“This isn’t what I meant,” said Lily, “I wasn’t her older sister, I was her older brother.”

“Older brother?” asked the apprentice with some chagrin.

“Yes, in fact we were both brothers,” said Lily, “We’re not supposed to be women at all.”

“Oh…this complicates things,” said the apprentice, “I thought I was reversing your spell, but it looks like I’ve just added another layer on top of it. Oh, my master is not gonna be pleased about this.”

“So fix it already,” snapped Lily.

“I could try, but the spells could get tangled and I don’t think you would like the result,” said the apprentice.

“What about me?” asked Robyn.

“You’re part of the first spell. Any changes I could try on your sister could affect you as well,” said the apprentice.

“Oh for crying out loud, where’s the owner of this place?” snapped Lily.

“He’s away on business but he’ll be back tomorrow,” said the apprentice.

“Tomorrow? I have to spend another night as a girl?” asked Lily.

“At least you’re a woman now,” said Robyn, who wasn’t that disappointed by the news.

Lily can her an annoyed look before saying to the apprentice, “I guess we’ll be back tomorrow then.” She and Robyn walked out of the shop and headed back to the parking lot. “I’m driving this time,” said Lily, causing Robyn to pout a bit.

Back at the apartment, Robyn was becoming more and more impressed with adulthood. For instance, she had once only thought that cellphones were only for calling people and playing a few games on. She was discovering all sorts of new apps on Evan’s phone, particularly its internet service. She has been scrolling through various news and was more appreciative that she was able to understand what they were supposed to mean.

The more time Robyn spent in her current form, the less willing she was to turn back into Robby. Adulthood had countless advantages, allowing her to do so many more things than she could as a kid. She wasn’t even really rejecting being a woman. Robby had been too young to really understand the major differences between male and female asides from ‘cooties’ and Robyn’s personality had been adapted to being a grown woman, with the obligatory change of tastes to go with it.

The only thing keeping her from wanting to stay like this is the fact that Robyn technically didn’t exist. She had no driver’s license or social security number to show anyone, no certificates to get her employed, and there would the matter of Robby disappearing that would worry a lot of people, not the least of which being her mom. Even so, Robyn wasn’t looking forward to having to grow up the long way.

Lily had to admit she was curious about her new form. She had only been a little girl beforehand and had often wondered what she’d look like as a woman. As soon as they got back to the apartment, she went into her room and looked at herself in the mirror. She was just as beautiful as Robyn was and removing her shirt confirmed she was just as sexy.

Her breasts looked lovely in her bra, but Lily wasn’t turned on by them like Evan would have been. Lily’s biggest concern was that after being put under the effects of two different spells with first one than another personality being laid on top, that there wasn’t much left of the original Evan. As comfortable as she was with his new body, she was worried that Evan was all but completely subsumed. If that wasn’t the case now, it was almost certainly likely to happen while she slept.

But she needed to become Evan again. Evan was the rightful owner of this apartment, the college degrees, the car, everything. Evan had a job that he could lose if he didn’t return to work soon. Evan had a mother who would freak out about losing both her sons. There was simply no place in this world for Lily and Robyn.

READER'S ENTRY: Release of Stress (Part 2)

Release of Stress (Part 2)
by BLZBub

Evan was quickly able to make good use of the medallion. During his free time at home, he would shift into Lily and allow her to play with the toys he had bought for her. When he returned to his normal form, he could still feel relaxed from Lily’s playing. It was a rather unorthodox method of stress relief, but Evan hadn’t felt better in years.

Overtime, Evan began spending more of his free hours as Lily, though he was careful not to spend too long as her. He didn’t want his mind deteriorating. He still had several other things to manage and if he let this little girl start overwhelming him, it could go downhill very quickly.

The great changing point would come a couple of weeks later when Evan’s mom called him to tell Evan she’ll be going on vacation for a week and Robby was going to stay at Evan’s apartment. Evan was a little annoyed that their mother would plan herself a vacation and not consider taking Robby along. But Evan had gotten used to her empty-headed ways over the last few years.

Anyways, having Robby come over could make things more fun. Lily had started to become bored with just playing by herself. What she really needs is a playmate and Evan was certain he could trust Robby to keep a secret.

It took a bit of explaining to make Robby understand and a demonstration of the medallion’s power to make him believe, but he reacted pretty well. Sure, it was weird that his older brother could turn into a little girl, but being able to play with Lily was quite a lot of fun. The two kids were able to enjoy themselves with all sorts of games and activities.

The two of them had never been so close as siblings before. It’s not that Evan didn’t care for Robby, but the big age gap meant that he couldn’t enjoy all the things that Robby liked. But as Lily, she could join in any of his games. Of course, they had to stop every two hours for her to change back into Evan. Evan made it as clear as he could why it was important for him to not spend too much time as Lily. Robby didn’t quite grasp all of it, but he could at least understand why Evan wouldn’t want to be a girl too long.

After three days, Robby started getting curious about the medallion. He wondered if it could work for him like it did for Evan. Of course, he didn’t want it to do the exact same thing as it did with Evan. There was no way Robby would want to turn into a girl or, even worse, a baby girl. But he did wonder if the medallion could change him into a grown-up. Robby had asked Evan if he could use the medallion, but Evan said that it should only be for him. Of course, like most kids, Robby found the medallion all the more alluring because of that.

Lily didn’t really care for wearing the medallion, so she usually left it out somewhere while they played. Robby waited until Lily needed to use the bathroom. Fortunately for him, she had forgotten to take the medallion and change with it. Now was his chance.

Robby picked up the medallion and looked it over. There was a very shiny crystal in it and Robby wondered if the magic was supposed to be in there. He looked at the wide side of it for a while, trying to think of what the magic words could possibly be. It was still a pretty crystal though.

Just then, the crystal started glowing even more before it released a big flash. Robby staggered back and almost dropped the medallion. He suddenly felt really dizzy and very weird. It took him a while before he noticed that he had started growing. It took him a little bit longer to notice that he was also changing quite a bit, the biggest clue was when it felt like something had just turned inside out or rather outside in. He looked at himself and saw that his clothes were changing rapidly, forming into something very different than what he was wearing a while ago. The term ‘he’ had become inaccurate when a bra materialized and HER breasts started filling it out.

As quickly as it had started, it was finished. Robby was still feeling very dizzy and more than a little confused. She staggered over to a mirror and looked at herself. She was now a grown woman and a rather attractive one at that. And she wasn’t just different on the outside. She could tell that her personality has been altered, made to fit her new form. She also had a bit of new knowledge such as how to cook and drive.

Just then, the bathroom door opened and Lily came out. She stopped when she saw Robby and asked, “Who are you?”

“Lily, we might have a little problem,” said Robby. Lily gasped and ran over to where the medallion was and started to panic when it was where she left it. “It’s right here,” said Robby, holding out the medallion with some chagrin.

Lily grabbed the amulet and tried to get it to work. When the crystal didn’t respond to her, she gave it back to Robby and said, “You use it. Look at the narrow side until it works.” Robby started long at the blue crack between the gold, but the crystal did not light up. She turned it over and tried it from the other side, but that didn’t work either. “You broke it!” snapped Lily, “I told you not to play with that thing and now we’re stuck like this!” She turned and ran to Evan’s room.

“Lily, wait!” called Robby before the door slammed. Robby winced and felt worse now. She really had screwed up big time. It was bad enough that she was now a grown woman, but now Evan was stuck as a little girl. How were they going to explain this to Mom? How were they gonna explain this to anyone?

She sighed before trying to calm down and think of something. It turned out to not be as hard as she thought. She had matured quite a lot in personality and she had the common knowledge of most women now. And what that knowledge was telling her was that she should wait a while for Lily to calm down before speaking with her.

After a while, Robby knocked on the door before entered Evan’s room. Lily was pouting in a corner, looking pretty miserable. “Lily, we’re not going to be stuck like this. If you can tell me where that store you got the medallion from is, we can go there and ask them to fix it,” said Robby.

“Really? But how will we get there? I can’t remember how to drive and you don’t know how to,” said Lily.

“Actually, I do know. I know lots of things that grown-ups know now, such as how to make dinner for us,” said Robby, “If the store has regular hours like the other stores, it would be closed by now. So we’ll spend the night like this and in the morning, we can go to the store.”

“Well…ok,” said Lily, not looking forward to sleeping as a girl.

“Good, just give me a few minutes and I’ll have dinner ready,” said Robby before walking out. She walked by the bathroom and got a bit curious. She walked in and looked at herself more thoroughly, taking her shirt off to see her new body. She was definitely a very attractive woman, ‘sexy’ being a good term now that she knew what that word meant. Her breasts were of an admirable size and her bra made them look quite appealing. She had the trim figure of a woman who watched what she ate.

Robby sighed before putting her shirt back on. She was aware that she was increasingly become more of a woman in her head and hoped that Lily won’t be too overwhelmed. But Robby had responsibilities now and she had to watch out for her little sister until they could get it fixed. Maybe it would be less of a hassle if she didn’t call herself Robby. Robyn was quite acceptable and it definitely suited her. But names didn’t matter right now, she had dinner to make.

READER'S ENTRY: Release of Stress (Part 1)

Sorry. There was a coding error and readers couldn't see the pictures. I hope it's fixed now.

Release of Stress (Part 1)
by BLZBub

Adulthood can be very stressful, especially if you’re just getting started. Fresh out of college, you have to find a stable job, an affordable place, and hope you’ll be able to make ends meet. That’s usually not a hard task for some people, but some of those people have to deal with extra hardships that makes it all the more taxing.

Evan had gotten a degree for electric engineering and he was having trouble finding any nearby places that were hiring for someone with his skills, though his temporary job at the electronics store. Not exactly what he wanted to be doing, but it was good enough until he could get enough money to move to where he could put his education to work.

However, that wasn’t likely to happen any time soon. As much as Evan would like to move to some other city, he had a responsibility at home. Well, a responsibility he had to cover for. His little brother Robby needed watching after, which was very time consuming for Evan. It wasn’t so much that Robby was a handful but that their mother wouldn’t pick up the slack.

Their mom wasn’t a bad woman when they were growing up, but it was pretty obvious, even then, that their dad was the brains of the family. She meant well, but it was clear to everyone who spent an hour with her that she was one of the actually legitimate dumb blonde stereotypes. She would treat her sons well, but she had a tendency to forget what was best for them or giving them what they need.

Evan had to take care of Robby pretty much ever since their dad died during his military service just before Evan finished his college education. Their mom was just a bit too much of an airhead to remember things like picking Robby up regularly from school or preparing healthy meals for him. Fortunately for Evan, Robby was just old enough to realize what a big help Evan was being and was grateful about it.

That still didn’t make things any less stressful for Evan. Between looking after his brother on a routine basis, handling his job at the store, which largely involved having to deal with complaining customers, and taking care of himself, he was stretched pretty thin. He was in no condition to look for a girlfriend, even if he had the time. Those stubborn baggy eyes just refused to go away.

What Evan really needed was some stress relief, something that could completely take his mind off of his incredibly large workload. Yet no matter how he tried to entertain himself, his thoughts were always underlined with worry about Tommy or his job. This undercurrent of nerves kept him from enjoying anything thoroughly enough to really relax.

He wasn’t sure how he’d be able to get rid of this stress until he found a small shop with rather exotic items on display. It all had quite a bit of fantasy theme to it, which would explain the name. Evan decided to play along with the ‘wizard’ behind the counter, not really questioning how he already knew his name.

Eventually, Evan asked, “I don’t suppose you have any magical cures for stress?”

“That depends on how you want to relieve your stress,” said the ‘wizard’.

“I’m not really particular,” said Evan, “I could probably handle it myself, but I can’t stop thinking about all the responsibilities that I have to deal with. I just wish I could be carefree and happy for a while, like when I was a kid.”

The ‘wizard’ thought this over and said, “I think I have something that could help you, but it might go further than you would want.”

“At this point, I’m ready to try anything except drugs,” said Evan.

The ‘wizard’ brought out a medallion with dark blue crystal inside it. “This medallion can be used as a storage device to temporarily remove all that makes you fret from your head. However, there are some boundaries with this. It’s best not to remain in your altered form for more than 3 hours, your original mindset may start to erode. It’s not advisable to be anywhere that may be unsafe while using this in case you might hurt yourself while your cautions are lax. And most importantly, you should not allow anyone else to use this medallion. You could throw the magic out of whack and cause some complications.”

Evan was a bit dubious about the medallion being what it was supposed to be, but the price was inexpensive so he decided to go ahead and buy it. If nothing else, it would at least make an interesting conversation piece.

Evan brought it back to his apartment and looked it over. It seemed like a simple little pendant. Apparently all he had to do was hold it in his palm and looked at the narrow half of it. It sounded simple, though he felt a bit silly after a minute. Did he really expect anything to happen with this thing? It was only a trinket, nothing special about at…

Just then, Evan noticed something. The crystal was starting to fill up like a thermometer, becoming a much lighter and shinier blue. Evan wasn’t certain if he felt any different until he noticed everything was becoming increasingly taller. The process started accelerating as the crystal filled up faster. Near the end, Evan started to notice something strange. Why did his hair feel longer?

As soon as the crystal was filled up, Evan went to find a mirror that he could look into. When he did look, what looked back at him was not what he expected. He saw a little girl, a few years older than Tommy, with similar features to him. She was wearing a little dress that Evan looked down and saw was on HER body.

This wasn’t what he had in mind about relieving stress. I mean, he had mentioned about being able to relax like a kid, but he hadn’t said anything about being a girl. How was Evan supposed to relax like this, play like a little girl?

Actually, that didn’t seem too bad. Evan soon began to realize that SHE really wanted to play now. She still had her memories about being a grown-up, but her personality and knowledge had been altered to reflect her new form, a form that could play as much as she wanted and not have a care about anything. She went around the house to see if there was anything she could play with, but there were only a few of Robby’s toys from the last time he was left in Evan’s charge and the video games didn’t interest her.

She pouted before remembering what the wizard said to reverse the medallion. She held it in her hand, this time with the full side looking at her. After staring at it for a minute, there was a sudden flash and she was back to be her old self, the crystal returning to its darker color. Evan looked over himself to see if he was really back to normal. It looked that way and his head was the way it was supposed to be. Now that he knew the medallion worked, he could go out and get some toys that Little Evan would be interested in playing with. No, not Little Evan, Lil’ E…Lily. That was a perfect name for her.

12 Candles

My newest multichoice story. A lot more convulted than the others, so pay attention to the Wizard's instructions.

Whatever the choices you make, be sure to revisit it and xplore the other options. In all, there are 36 captions on this post!

And comment!

Your name is Edith, and today is your 12th. Birthday.

Though some may think it would be a happy day for you, it only served to underline how lonely you really were. None of your classmates had even remembered your Birthday, and your parents had just said “Happy Birthday” and then they gave you five bucks. That of course was the warmest behavior they had towards you in a very long time, and you knew an equally long time would pass before they acknowledged your existence again. What was exactly that people seemed to dislike so much about you? You were a caring and intelligent girl, but you supposed some people simply were born without luck. You hated your life.

“I want out!” you whispered aloud, without realizing it.

“And that can be arranged,” said a voice behind you.

You gasped. You had been wandering in the mall, looking for something to buy for yourself as a gift. Candy, you guessed, as you only had 5 dollars. You had walked absentmindedly inside a curious-looking store. It was obvious the things they sold would be too expensive for you, but you at least wanted to see them.

The man who had talked had to be the shopkeeper, since he was behind the counter. He was old and slim, and seemed wise and crazy in equal amounts.

“Excuse me?”

“You want out of your life, and that’s kind of my specialty, Edith. I know you’re unwanted by your family, that you have no real friendships, and that you feel you’re meant for much more. And before you ask how, I must simply tell you I’m a Wizard.”

After all that, you really didn’t feel like doubting him. So instead of questioning his knowledge, you asked him what you really want to know:

“Can you really change my life?”

“Almost every object in this store will change your life in some way or another. But I think you need the most complete kind of change. To become a whole new person.”

You nodded, marveled.

“If you could, what kind of life would you chose?

“I’d like to be quite free. I would need to be an adult for that. And I would like to have an interesting life. Be noticed… Beautiful, even.” You blushed at your declaration.

The Wizard smiled and he produced a small wooden box.

“What would you say if I told you this isn’t your only life? There are thousands of parallel existences and you exist, in some form, in every one of them. Maybe in some you’re a man. You’re probably already dead in others. There are 12 magic candles inside this box. Each one of them only works in an specific month of the year. Lightening and then blowing each one will immediately transport you into another one of those realities.”

You wouldn’t even know what to answer. So you didn’t.

“I don’t know which 12 parallel realities these candles contain, but I promise you you’ll be alive in all of them.”

“What about the ones where I’m a boy?,” you asked worried. He just laughed.

“Those are out too. You would be a grown and attractive woman in every one of them, just like you wanted. About the freedom… well, you might find every person in every reality has problems of their own, and that maybe they don’t feel free all the time.”

You suddenly snapped out, understanding the dream was impossible.

“I’m sorry. I can only give you 5 dollars. I won’t be able to buy it,” you confessed sadly.

“Keep the money. Consider this a Birthday present.”

Too good to be true, but you knew it was.

“Thanks… Are there… rules?”

“Everything here has its own laws. For one, the first time you use them, you can ONLY pick the candle that belongs to your actual month of birth. Your body will transform into that of the person you are on the other reality, and you’ll be transported there. You’ll have some time to experience your new life, then exactly one month to the day after you used the candle, you must DECIDE IF YOU’LL STAY OR NOT,”

“How do I do that?”

“If you think you’ll like the life you’re in, you must simply dispose of the Candle Box. That symbolic act will render the candles powerless and you’ll stay in your current reality FOREVER.”

“And what do I do if I don’t like my life?”

“You’ll also need to endure one complete month in your new body. Then, when it’s over, you merely use your next candle. You’ll shrink back into your original form for a few seconds, then you’ll be transported to the next life and so on. But be careful! You only have 12 candles, and if you use them all, you’ll be stuck in your 12th. reality. That is, the one belonging to the month preceding your birthday, thus completing the circle. So, if you think you’ll enjoy one life, I’d advice you to keep it! You might not like the next one so much!”

It sounded dangerous. What if your new life was worse than this one? But you took the gift without further consideration. You would regret it forever if you missed the chance. You thanked the man and went out. When you turned back, the store wasn’t there any more.

You walked to the bakery and used your 5 dollars to buy a cupcake. You returned home (your parents weren’t even there) and went into your room.

You pulled out the Candle Box and opened it. Each candle was labeled with a different month. You pulled out the one marked with YOUR BIRTHDAY MONTH and put it into the cupcake. You took a good bite from it, since you knew you wouldn’t be able to eat it later.

You had brought some matches from the kitchen, and you lit the candle. Taking a good look at your reflection and waving goodbye to it, taking a good look at your reflection and waving goodbye to it, you blew it.

Immediately, everything around you began to spin. It was as if you were inside a whirlwind’s vortex. You couldn’t see anything but a colorful blur, and there was a whooshing sound coming from everywhere. Then your body started to shake, as it slowly enlarged and changed…
